Pug DJ has watched humans for a long time. You are clever, funny, and very good at making a simple day complicated. So here is my short list of ten things every human should be doing more often. It is not a perfect plan. It is a solid start.
1. Sleep
People need sleep. A tired human makes strange choices, such as answering emails late at night or deciding that one more episode is a good idea. Get enough rest. It makes the next day kinder and clearer.
2. Drink water
Water is not exciting, but neither is feeling terrible because you forgot to drink any. Keep a glass or bottle nearby. If a pug can remember where the water bowl is, a human can manage this too.
3. Exercise
Move your body in a way you can keep doing. Walk, stretch, lift, dance, ride a bike, or chase a pug who found a sock. It does not have to be fancy. It just has to happen.
4. Pray
Take a moment to pray. Talk to God honestly. Say thank you. Ask for help. Pray for people who are hurting. A quiet conversation with God can put a loud day back in the right order.
5. Give
Give time, attention, money, help, or encouragement. You do not need to be rich to be generous. Sometimes the best gift is noticing someone and making their day a little lighter.
6. Love
Tell people you love them. Show it with patience, presence, and small acts that say, “You matter to me.” Life is short, and kind words are cheaper than regret.
7. Save
Put a little aside when you can. Emergencies have terrible timing. Savings are not about being scared; they are about having choices when life gets expensive.
8. Invest
Learn the basics and invest for the long run if it fits your situation. Small, steady steps can grow over time. Do not chase every exciting promise. Pugs distrust anything that sounds too easy.
9. Read
Read books, good articles, and the directions before assembling furniture. Reading helps people think beyond the next loud opinion in their feed. It gives your brain better things to chew on.
10. Worship Jesus
In our home, we believe worshipping Jesus belongs at the center of a good life. It reminds us that we are loved, forgiven, and called to serve others. Church, Scripture, music, and prayer help us remember what matters most.
Do not try to fix your whole life in one afternoon. Pick one habit, make it small, and practice it for a week. Then add another. Big changes often start with ordinary choices repeated when nobody is watching. A healthy life is usually built that way: one glass of water, one walk, one page, one prayer, and one kind decision at a time.
There you have it: sleep, water, movement, prayer, giving, love, saving, investing, reading, and worship. Pug DJ cannot promise you will become perfect. But these habits can help you become steadier, healthier, and more ready for whatever the day brings.
